Robert Rudigier exhibits for the first time at Galerie Kuchling, with two sets of different works.
Drawn upon canvases, some explore the qualities of architecture such as light, volume, depth and intersection. The assemblages, smaller objects, reaped from book covers, adjoin in intrepid aggregations, subject to Rudigier’s bold colour experimentations.
With a background in visual and communication design, in Rudigier’s objects, a new function prevails over form providing a space for the material qualities to be at the forefront of attention. There is little subjectivity in the graphic elements, it is in the materiality that you will find Rudigier’s true form.
